Mozzie Clear Lotion (BUDS) review

Mosquito basically loves us HUMANs ; children and adults. Having a mosquito repellent as standby item for us adults is a MUST whenever we are outdoor. But, how about our babies or kids? Most of the standard mosquito repellents for adults are too strong on kids and they will irritate their skin post application.

There are various types of mosquito repellent in the market suitable for young babies and children. Some comes in forms of spray, cream, bangles or even stickers that i saw in drug stores.

I have recently bought a unit of Mozzie Clear Lotion from BUDS. BUDS is a certified organic baby care that has wide range of baby products from head to toe. I have never tried the rest of their products as i am comfortable of my current baby products (Sebamed), works well on both of my kids.:)


Citronella oil repels insects effectively and naturally while aloe vera soothes and hydrates. Shea butter and jojoba and sunflower oils offer extra moisture while antioxidant rich olive leaf extract protects against harmful free radical damage.

How to apply: Apply a thin layer of cream on the skin before reaching your designated destination. You can even apply on the face too. I applied on her face for a few times already. 0 irritation occur.!!!

Pros:
  1. The cream was so so so soothing, that i even applied on existing bites to ease her itchiness. She used to scratch on the bites during the night , and after application she can sleep all night.
  2. Not oily. It is just like normal lotion application.
  3. Smells good , not like typical mosquito repellent with strong lemon grass smell...
  4. RRP: RM 45.90 (I am at the high usage side, but this last me like more than 8 months already)
  5. Long expiry date. 
Cons: 
  1. The only cons is the design of the tube, not so handy ... but the rest are well assured on the Pros side :)
PS: This is a review based on my experience, tried and tested on my own child. Different child reacted differently on the product.

Infant Oral Hygeine

Caring for baby's oral cavity plays a very important part too. It helps to set a stage for a healthy mouth and to prevent oral thrush (a very common infection among infants) Ive practice very strict oral care for my baby since birth. Very easy steps to follow to maintain a healthy oral cavity: Equipments: Cotton, luke warm water Method: 1)Just lie your baby on your lap or put her flat on the bed, 2)roll cotton onto your index finger, 3)dipped cotton into luke warm water, 4)start cleaning your baby's oral cavity in a circular motion and repeat the same steps with another cotton wool each time. I usually use filtered/ boiled water to clean my baby's oral cavity. There are plenty types of oral cleaning solution in market used for oral hygiene, but to me, i think water is already sufficient.
